“Love Of $$$$$!” Are We Contented With Things In Life?

Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer! Dear friends, as we look into another topic for the day, just take a look at the above topic! Are we really contented with the things that we have in our life today? Are we really satisfied or are we looking for more and more?  Let us see what the word of God speaks about the “Love of Money?”Dear friends, in this present world, if you do not have this dollar signs $$$$$, people tend to look down on you! And for this group of people, money has become so important to them they tend to look down on others who do not do very well in life! My friends, they become so puffed up because of the wealth and money they have. We have to feel sorry for them and pray for them. Are this rich and wealthy people content with what they have or are they looking for more and more? Friends, do not get me wrong! We all need money but do not make yourselves to be slaves to money! We are to control the money and not the money to control us my friends!

Dear friends, the word of God is written in 2 Timothy 3:2 “People will be lovers of money!” They will want money more and not God. They will even wander from their faith and trade their God for Money! The word of God says, you can’t serve two masters, it is either God or Money? Because of the love of money, people are still not contented with what they have, my friends! For them, they think that godliness is a means to financial gain. How wrong they are! But my friends if you have godliness with contentment is great gain! ( 1 Timothy 6:6 )

Dear friends, let us look at Philippians 4:11 as it is written “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation!” Yes, my friends, we as believers must be content in whatever the circumstances! Be satisfied and content in whatever situation we are in today! As it is written in Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you;never will I forsake you.” So why my friends, are there still some of us getting ourselves into a lot of trouble by trying to do illegal business to get more money! Be content with what you have. God will know how to provide you. He is your Provider!

We tend to buy so many properties and store up treasures on earth! Friends, are we going to take all these with us when we die? As the word of God is written in 1 Timothy 6:7 ” For we brought nothing into the world, and we take nothing out of it.” In the book of Ecclesiastes 5:15 it is written ” Naked a man comes from his mother’s womb, and as he comes, so he departs. He takes nothing from his labor that he can carry in his hand.” How true is it my friends! We see it at funerals! The person who is dead, takes nothing with him at all! Even his family is left back! He does not take his property, assets and even his money does not go with him! How rich a billionaire or a millionaire can be, when they leave this earth they go alone and nothing goes together with them!

Dear friends, many people who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction! ( 1 Timothy 6:9 ) The“love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs! (1 Timothy 6:10) Yes, my dear friends, it is sad to say that many believers who want to get rich fall into the temptation of bribery! Dear friends, those of you who are married and have families, be content in whatever situation or circumstances you are in. Women of the house, please take note not to push your husbands to get things what your family or friends have! Be content with what you have! If you are going to push your husbands to get this things and get that things for you, they are going into ruin and destruction! Look at your blessings rather than looking at the blessings of others! You are more blessed than them my friends, if you have godliness with contentment! Have a Blessed and Meaningful Season of Lent my dear friends!
