“Forsaken And Abandon”

23 04 2011

Greetings I bring to you my dear friends in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer! Dear friends as we look at the above article, has anyone of you have been forsaken or abandon by your loved ones? There are many children and babies that have been abandon by their parents. Even parents have been abandon by their children. In today’s article we will see about a man who has been forsaken and abandon by his Father because of You, I and all mankind. Let us see what the word of God has to say about this person!

Dear friends, being forsaken and abandon by your loved ones especially the time when you need them the most is terrible. The person that was forsaken and abandon by his Father because of us is Jesus Christ. Friends let me take you to the scene that happened on “Good Friday!” It was the day of the Lord’s crucifixion on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Without the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross 2000 years ago, none of our sins will be forgiven till the end. There will be no redemption for our sins. Friends, we have to be thankful to the Lord for dying on that Cross in Calvary for our sins and not His sins.

Dear friends, to be tortured, whipped and beaten till the maximum, is no joke at all. Jesus was humiliated and spat on. He was stripped out of His clothes for each and every one of us! Jesus did not at all opened his mouth because He was obedient till the point of death to do His Father’s will! That is to be a sacrifice on the cross for the sins of the whole world. Jesus carried the weight of the whole world upon His shoulders! Friends, how many of us Today can carry other peoples burden without opening our mouth? If we do help also to carry other peoples burden, we will be giving them a long “lecture” before we do something for them. But Jesus remained silent till the end.

Dearly beloved friends, Jesus suffered six hours on that cross! He was abandon and forsaken by all His loved ones. The worst of it was when Jesus was abandon by His Father in Heaven. God was a holy God and remember friends, sin separates us from God. That is what happened to our Lord Jesus. As it was written in the gospel of St Matthew 27:45 ” From the sixth  hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice,Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which means, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Yes, my friends! Jesus cried out to his Father in heaven. Friends, the time Jesus was born into this world and the time he was growing up and till the time Jesus was doing his ministry, God the Father was with Jesus and did not at all forsake Him or abandon Jesus! This was the only time God the Father had to abandon His son Jesus. It was all because of the sins and the filth of this world that was upon the body of His son Jesus! God the Father could not take to see the sins on the body of His Holy son! That is why at that time, Jesus cried out to his Father, because he could no longer see His Father’s face. That is why at that time Jesus cried out saying “My god, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Dearly beloved friends, let us remember today, that it was because of our sins that Jesus was abandon and forsaken by his Father in heaven. Friends, every drop of the blood of Jesus is precious because Jesus shed that blood to redeem us from our sins and reconcile us back to God the Father! Jesus took it all for our sake and because of His “unfailing” love towards us all. Today are you willing to love that Jesus who took it all for you? have a Blessed Season of Lent.

God Bless.
