“Friends, How Much Do You Trust God?”

27 05 2011

Greetings I bring to you my friends in the name of Our lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer. Dear friends, as we go to today’s topic entitled “How much do you trust God?” Friends, today as Christian believers, How many of us out there trust God fully? Meaning in whatever situation you are in Today, you still can bravely say that you have put your trust in God and nothing is going to shake the trust and faith that you have in God. Let us see what the word of God has to reveal to us today about trusting God.

Dearly beloved friends, as we take a look at today’s topic it speaks about our Christian hope and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Friends, please do not get offended with what I am going to say. Sadly there are many Christian believers out there who have been born generation Christians, yet they do go and seek after other god’s. It is indeed quite a saddening thing to hear. When they have problems that could not be solved they go and seek mediums whom they think are able to solve their problems. Friends, why do we need to trust God and not anyone else besides God?

Dear friends, why do we need to trust God? It is simply because God is our Creator. God created us and he knows what are our needs. We Christians sometimes love to limit God. Understand that with His mighty outstretched arms God made the heavens and the earth and nothing is impossible for God. All things are possible for God but not for man. Things that are impossible for men God says it is possible for Him. Friends, today there are many of us out there who are down with life problems that we feel that is impossible for us to solve on our own. Yes, my friends, if we say that it is our problem and burden then it will definitely be a problem for us to solve. But if we say to God, that the problem we are facing today is impossible for us to solve and we want God to intervened into our life and we are willing to trust and surrender our problems to God, that God will come in and help us with our problems. At times why do we hear of people comitting suicide and they resort to drugs as an escape from life? It is because it was hard for them to put their trust in God.

Dearly beloveds, we as Christian believers, have the Word of life within us. It is even shocking to hear that believers have attempted suicide and some even have died through suicide.Friends, we serve a living God and not a dead God. If even the waves and storm can listen to His commands and obey God, why can’t we as Christian believers put our trust in God. Even the birds of the air, knows that God will feed them. The wild beast also knows that God will provide them. Even the trees and the plants knows that God will send rain for them. If nature can depend and trust that God can provide why can’t we put our trust in God? Why do we need to go and seek mediums who are mere humans to help us?

Dear friends, if we read and see from the Old Testament and the New Testament, there are many incidence where God did intervene and provided for his children. The hungry were fed, the blind from birth received his sight, the demon possessed boy was delivered, the women who was suffering from an issue of blood for twelve years was healed, a raven brought food for Elijah and the parting of the Red Sea to deliver the people of Israel from Pharoah and from the slavery. Friends, today God is telling us to put our Trust in Him and not to put our trust in mere human beings. Friends, when we trust God and surrender our problems and needs to Him, surrender if fully and do not doubt the Lord. God will never ever disappoint us. Friends, our ways are not God’s ways and neither are our thoughts God’s thoughts. Today friends, surrender your all to Jesus because He cares for you and loves you.

God Bless.
