“God’s Compassionate Love Abounds Above Everything Else”

6 06 2011

Greetings I bring to you my friends in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer. Dear friends, as we take a look at today’s topic, let us see what does the word of God says about God’s Love for His children. Many of us as believers have not really known the Love of God in our lives. Friends, please read on the rest of the article and be blessed.

Dearly beloved friends of mine around the globe, as we take a look at today’s posting let us see why is God’s compassionate love abounds above everything else? As we take a look at Psalms 103:8-14 as it is written, “The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide:  neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins;  nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.For he knoweth our frame;  he remembereth that we are dust.”

Dear friends, as we take a look at the above paragraph, it tells us about God’s compassionate love for His children. At times we think that God does not loves us but we are totally wrong my friends. Let us take a look at the sentence step by step beginning from verse 8 onwards. First it says that God is compassionate and gracious meaning that God loves us with great compassion and with full of grace. God has compassion on all that he as God has created regardless of who you are and from which background you come from. God loves everyone equally. God is slow in anger and abounding in love. Yes, my friends, we as humans can get angry at everyone. We do not stop to think. We just throw words in anger against those who have hurt us. But God does not ever do that even when some of us as believers have been disobedient to God. There is nothing compared to God’s love. When we speak about love it is God. For God is Love and His love abounds in everything. There is nothing that can be compared to God’s abounding love.

Friends, as we go on to verse 9 we see that God will not always accuse nor will he harbor his anger forever. Friends, today how many of us have accused others falsely and have harbored anger in our hearts against others who have hurt us directly or indirectly by their words and actions.   Here the word of God says that God does not accuse or harbor anger in His heart against those who have gone against Him. God knows how we are formed. God knows our weaknesses yet he does not accuse us. But we as God’s people and as believers have accused others and we still have anger waging war in our hearts. Remember friends, it is Satan who likes to accuse people. So be alert of what he is doing against you as believers. Satan creates hatred among the believers so that there will not be unity among the believers.

Dearly beloved, as we go on to verse 10 we see that God does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Yes, friends, isn’t he a wonderful God. He loves us so much that he gave up his only begotten son our Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins and also the sins of all mankind regardless of their race and religion. As we go on to verse 11, we also see that as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear him. Friends, if we want to measure God’s love, go out from your house and see the distance between heaven and earth. That great is God’s love for his children who fears God. We also see in verse 12 that as far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our transgressions from us. Friends, none of us are without transgressions. All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But because of His abounding love for us all God is willing to remove all our transgressions from us. So friends, as you can see, God’s love even covers up all our transgression if we but go before the Lord in full repentance.

Dear friends, as we go to the final two verses that is verse 13 and 14 we see that as a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him for he knows how we are formed and he remembers that we are dust. Friends, our earthly fathers do have compassion on their children but Our Heavenly Father has the abounding love and compassion on every of his child because he knows how we have been formed out of dust. Some earthly fathers have even disowned their children because of their disobedience towards the family. But God does not disowned any of His children. God welcomes all of us despite at times we have disobeyed God and have sinned against Him. That is God my friends. He is a God full of compassion and love and God does not REJECT anyone but WELCOMES everyone with an open arm. Today, if you think you are a sinner and has been cast away from your family or the society, God is always there for you my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Come before God just the way you are. Stay Blessed and Be Blessed always.

God Bless.
