“Are You In Distress Today, Friends?”

9 06 2011

Greetings I bring to you my friends in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer. Dear friends as we take a look at today’s topic entitled above, how many of us today are in distress because of the problems that we face in our daily life. Let us take a look at what the word of God has to say to us today. Please do read on the rest of the article and be blessed.

Dearly beloved friends, there are many of us who are believers who are undergoing distress in our daily life. being a believer does not mean that we do not have to go through the problems of everyday life. Each and everyone one of us have to go through life problems of how else are we going to experience the grace of God in our lives. We may think that a rich man does not have any problems, but if you go and really ask him you will know how much problems they are going through. Life is not a bed of roses for everyone. We as believers in fact can overcome our distress by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear friends, there are many of us who are believers do not believe that God can hear us from his holy dwelling. As we take a look at the book of Psalms 18:6 as it is written, the Psalmist says that “In my distress I called to the Lord, I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, my cry came before him, into his ears.” Today, my friends, as believers do we take the time to cry unto the Lord about the sufferings that we are going through or do we confide in others by letting them know the problems that we are going through? The psalmist says that in his distress he called upon the Lord and the Lord heard the psalmist voice and his cry came into the Lord’s ears. Isn’t that a wonderful thing my friends? Meaning that if you go before God and call unto his mighty name, God will hear your voice and your cry will come into God’s ears. But how many of us as believers are doing that today? Let us ask ourselves this question!

Dearly beloved friends, as we read and meditate on the word of God there are so many blessed assurance that God had given us for being his children. But sad to say there are many believers who do not claim the blessed assurance that God has given us. there are many believers who cannot take the distress that there are going through, that they go into depression and they are mentally out of their mind. They feel it so difficult to trust that God will make a way in their life when there seems to be no way out! They rather put their trust in mere men. The word of God also says that ” Some may trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Our Lord God Almighty.” Yes, friends, sad to say that many believers are doing this in the present day. They rather trust in something that cannot guarantee them out of their distress then to trust in the name of God Almighty. God himself says to put your trust in Him but we are so stubborn and ignorant that we still want to trust in the things that is created then trusting in the Creator Himself.

Dearly beloved friends, as children of the living God that we serve, whatever we are facing today is just to see how much you are trusting God and letting God know that the problems that you are facing is not your problem but God’s problem. Surrender and let go off your problems into the hands of the Lord who Still the waters! When you fully let go and you are fully dependent on God and you believe and have faith that God will rescue you and draw you out of the trouble waters today, you will see the hands of God at work in your life. God is ever waiting for you to call unto him today. Are you ready to call upon the Lord today, my friends? You are His child and He is your Father in Heaven. God wants to release you from all your distress today. Act now and do not delay. Tomorrow is not destined for any of us. Stay Blessed my friends.
God Bless.
