It’s BERSIH Not KOTOR Right? Why The BIG FUSS??

29 06 2011

Greetings I bring to you my friends. Dear friends, looking at the above topic entitled, “It’s BERSIH meaning CLEAN and Not KOTOR meaning DIRTY Right?” so why the big fuss over it? What is wrong in being CLEAN or BERSIH? Why is the government against BERSIH? If the government is clean and fair, it should  support the rally of BERSIH without fear or favour? But what we see today, there is harassment, intimidation and violence against ordinary citizens and the organizers of BERSIH 2.0 programs of raising consciousness for a free, fair and clean elections. Anything wrong with that? Is it wrong for the public to ask for a free, fair and clean elections?

Excuse me, it is because of the public’s vote you leaders are sitting in your positions! Be it those who are in the ruling party and also the oppositions. It is the public who makes the decision and in whose hands the public wants the government to be taken over by! Don’t you think that the public has the right to do so?If the government is CLEAN why the worry then?

By their harassment, intimidation and abuse of power, it shows the instability and weakness of the present government to rule this country. It reflects the failure of the government in upholding democracy and its principles, good governance and ensuring a  free, fair and clean elections. MALAYSIANS want GOOD GOVERNANCE and not GOVERNMENT!! If the GOVERNANCE is GOOD then only we will have a GOOD GOVERNMENT. I

f the GOVERNANCE is GOOD why do you think that we ever need BERSIH? The word BERSIH itself means we need a good CLEAN up in the governance! There are certain things that really need a good Clean up. We can’t always sweep all the DIRT under the carpet. People are not stupid and ignorant anymore. The GIANT’S OF BERSIH have already awaken and that is not going to STOP the BERSIH GIANT’S  from doing their major CLEAN up.

The more the Government is going to stop the rally, the more the public will think that there is really some mess up in the governance?  If we are CLEAN why do we need to WORRY? If the Governance of the government is fair and clean, let BERSIH go on with the rally that is due on 9th of July 2011. The vision of BERSIH is not all about race, right, and privileges. It is not about over throwing the government or waging war against one another. It is all about CLEANING THE ELECTORAL ROLL, REFORM POSTAL BALLOT, USE OF INDELIBLE INK, MINIMUM 21 DAYS CAMPAIGN PERIOD, FREE AND FAIR ACCESS TO MEDIA, STRENGTHEN PUBLIC INSTITUTION, STOP CORRUPTION AND STOP DIRTY POLITICS.  That is all about BERSIH 2.0! Anything wrong with that?

Stop using the power you have to abuse the people. They have the right to stand up for what they want. It is a democratic country right, or have I got it wrong?  We march for democracy, for clean and fair elections that are so much needed for our country, and I hope that the head of the country will respect that right of all Malaysians. The “rakyat” is not breaking any law as it is using its fundamental  right to assemble peacefully, guaranteed in the federal constitution, already proven in the Bersih rally in 2007. The role of the police is to ensure traffic flow and that no one uses violence on the peaceful rally.

With ONE VOICE WE MALAYSIANS WANT A GOVERNMENT THAT HAS  VALUE BASED GOVERNANCE IN IT! WE WANT A CLEAN GOVERNMENT WITHOUT ANY FORM OF CORRUPTION IN IT. KEEP THE SPIRIT AND FORCE WITHIN YOU GOING “GIANT’S OF BERSIH RALLY.” THE TRUTH HAS TO PREVAIL.

God Bless.
