Continue to read the rest of the article and Be Blessed at all times.Dearly beloved friends, once again I thank God for giving me Today to be with all of you to bring His Love, mercy, grace and compassion to you my dearly beloved ones. Even though we do not know each other personally but we are all together in the family of God bound through His divine Love. The Love of God that does not separate us but brings us closer to God each day. May you and your household be under the divine protection of the Almighty God always. Friends, as we take a look at today’s topic it talks about God’s concern over each and everyone of us regardless of who we are! Through the eyes of God we are all His children and we are seen equally and not differently. The very reason is because God is our Creator and we are the Creation of His very own hands! We are His Masterpiece!

Friends, today I want to tell you about a person by the name of Zacchaeus from the gospel of Luke 19:1-10 in the New Testament. The meaning of the name of Zacchaeus is “meant clean and pure, but he was one of the chief corrupted man in Jericho!” A little info about this man called Zacchaeus. He was a Chief Tax Collector and a very rich person too from Jericho. In stature he is short, he is a Jew and in character a corrupted person. Zacchaeus is not a reputed man and is often ridiculed and hated among the Jews. What is so special about this person who people has branded as a sinner? What made Zacchaeus to run ahead of everyone and who climbed up the sycamore tree just to see who Jesus is? He must have heard about this Rabbi Jesus and he was indeed desperate to see who Jesus is. Not everyone would want to climb up a tree just to have a glance of Jesus. Being short in stature I wonder how Zacchaeus climbed up that sycamore tree!

Dear friends, What did his actions tell us about his need and desire to meet Jesus? We see that he was in deep desperation to meet Jesus at any cost. As we see in the written word of God in the gospel of Luke 19:4, “So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.” He RAN ahead and climbed the tree. He made an effort to run ahead and climb the tree!He prepared himself for the most clear view of Jesus. He made an initial effort to see Jesus without any hindrance or obstacle. He set aside all the ridicule or mockery he might receive from people.I strongly believe that this simple and insignificant act tells a lot about his heart. He was ready to receive Jesus, into his home and his heart! Many people were in that crowd. They would also have heard about Jesus, they also came to see him. They might have a glimpse at this famous miracle-worker. Many would have gone home, missing the view, thinking, “may be next time, I would see him.” But Zacchaeus prepared himself to see Jesus. He made an effort. He did not give up.

Dear friends, if you long to see Jesus, if you are ready for Jesus, Jesus will definitely notice you! Jesus have not met Zacchaeus yet but he knew him and called Zacchaeus by his name. What a shock it would have been for Zacchaeus at that time right? It was not Zacchaeus that invite Jesus but rather it was Jesus who invited him.All he needed to do was to receive the invitation and he did so with a grateful heart. Jesus told Zacchaeus that he wanted to go over to his house for tea! What joy could that have been to Zacchaeus at that time. Jesus being the guest of a “sinner!”  What do you think the response of the people there would have been and most of all from the disciples of Jesus himself? The people there were basically grumbling and complaining why Jesus chose to go to Zacchaeus  home for tea? The crowd could not see what Jesus could see in Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was Jesus greatest concern among the crowd who came to see Him. Jesus came looking for Zacchaeus! What a dramatic moment it would have been for Zacchaeus!

Dear friends, at Zacchaeus home not only Jesus was there but all were invited at his home. Change of heart also reflects change of attitude and action.  Zacahaeus accepted the fact that he had cheated others and he confessed all his wrongdoings and paid them back what was required in the law. (Exodus 22:1,2 Samuel 12:6) He could have given four times,he had taken according to the law and that should be enough. But he first gave all his possessoins to the poor! And from the remaining, he paid for his wrongdoings. It shows the overflowing joy, love and generosity. Jesus did not commanded Zacchaeus to do so, it came naturally within him from the change of his heart.

Dear friends, before I end my article let us see what was Jesus proclamation? “Today Salvation has come into this house, because this man too is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seekand to save what was lost.” Jesus proclaimed His mission on earth “To Seek and Save the Lost.”Jesus concern is to reach out to the neglected and despised ones. Are you feeling neglected and despised today?  You are His Greatest Concern and Jesus came searching for you! Jesus is ready to be your guest in your home and in your heart! Are you ready to accept Jesus in today as how Zacchaeus did? The choice is in your hands my beloved friends.Have a Blessed and a Christ Centered Day with our Lord Jesus. He Loves You!

God Bless
