“A Christlike Attitude Of Kindness Towards Others Who Least Expect It From Us!”

7 03 2012

Shalom and greetings I bring to you my beloved friends around the globe in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Perfect Savior, Redeemer and Deliverer. My prayer for you today is that each one of us should grow in the attitude of being more Christlike unto others. Let the nature of Christlike be rooted deep within us if we are to be called His disciples. Do take time to read the rest of the article and be truly Blessed in all ways. Stay Blessed always for this is God’s will for us all. We are all a Blessed Generation and may our Blessings flow unto others.Dearly beloved friends those far and near.It is a blessing that God has indeed given me another day to be with my loved ones, family and friends. Be thankful to God for each new day that He has given us to dwell in. At times we only think that we need to thank God for the prayers answered and for blessings in our life. But we tend to forget that we need to be thankful to God at all times regardless in whatever situation you and I may be in. Friends, looking at the above topic, how many of us as believers are having a Christlike attitude towards others who are not in Christ. Notice what Jesus said as He addressed a large crowd: “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?” (Luke 6:32-33)

Dearly beloved friends, Our Lord Jesus clearly made a point in His address to the crowd that gathered to hear Him speak. Today we as believers and disciples of Jesus Christ are called to have this CHRISTLIKE Attitude and character within us today. There are still many of us who are believers who still cannot get ourselves associated to people who are not in Christ. We become so puffed up thinking that we are the only saved ones in Christ Jesus. What about our brothers and sisters who are not in Christ? We rather associate ourselves with our own believers among the circle of friends. But Jesus Christ was never like that! Our Lord’s company of friends were all Sinners and those cast away from the society. Jesus Christ could associate and mingle with anyone, even the outcast! Who are we my friends that we cannot associate ourselves with others? We become so fanatic against those who are not in the Lord! Is this what being Christlike is as we call ourselves as believers? Do give a serious thought on that!

Dearly beloved friends! What is the goal are we called for to have a Christlike attitude unto others? is it not to do a Christlike act of  kindness for people who did not expect it and to leave a note saying that you did it because of your love for Christ! Clearly our Lord Jesus wants us to do good to people in which ever way we can and who can in no way pay us back! Yes, this exactly what our Lord Jesus wants us to do. Why do you want to feed the rich when they have plenty of food to eat? Why not try feeding at least one mouth that is hoping for a decent meal for that day! Try giving a lift in your car for someone who really needs a transport to go somewhere. Try giving your clothes away that is hanging in your closet for umpteen years! What about your shoes and many more things there is to give away!

Dearly beloved friends, when we do something for others do not expect something back in return. At times this thought may just come into our minds, Why give without any hope of return? It does sound counter-cultural, but the idea has strong biblical basis. Just go back to what Our Lord Jesus addressed to the crowd there with His disciples with him too. (Luke 6:32-33) My beloved friends, during this Season of Lent let us humble ourselves before God and pray and ask god to instill the Christlike attitude, nature and character within each believer. As believers we must be genuine to serve all people regardless of race and religion. Share a little kindness to those who have not known our Lord Jesus. We are the mirror that will reflect Christ Jesus unto others who do not know Him. Are we willing to do it today? Jesus Christ came to Serve All! Have a Blessed and a Meaningful Season of Lent 2012.

God Bless
