“How Transformed Are We By The Renewing Of Our Mind”

15 03 2012

Shalom and greetings I bring to you my beloved friends around the globe in the Mighty name of Our Lord Jesus Christ our Perfect Savior, Redeemer and Deliverer. My prayer for you today is that each one of us needs to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Why is it so important to get our mind renewed daily? Do take time to read the rest of the article and Be Blessed and Stay Blessed at all times.Dearly beloved friends, why is it Important to transform ourselves by the renewing of our mind? Our mind plays a very important role within us. Whatever we do it is in our mind. The bad and the good things too. It is important to renew our mind daily by the written word of God and to be a transformed person. As believers and children of God, we are to be Transformed people to others. And to be a transformed person we need to check ourselves daily. The only way is to renew our mind daily with the written word of God. By reading the word of God, we are convicted inwardly of all the wrongdoings that we do. If you had done something really wrong and you do not feel convicted of your wrong doing then something is really wrong with you my friends. We all need to have this signal of being convicted of all our wrong doing by our Inner man that is the Holy Spirit!

Dearly beloved friends, there is a lesson here for us as followers of Jesus Christ. We need to engage our daily devotional time to the written word of God. We need to add Scripture memory to our daily devotional time. At times the most valuable spiritual disciplines of Bible reading and prayer can become so habitual that our minds are not fully engaged to it. We make it a habit rather than a commitment and love to God to read His daily word. We are to read God’s daily word as a person who is in hunger for His word. We want to read the word of God to keep us full and satisfied. It is also like a deer that thirst for the water. We are to be like that hungry deer in thirst of God’s word. Do not read the written word of God, because you feel it is an obligation as a believer to do it. If you are in that obligated position then what ever you read will never stay in your mind. If the written word of God is not embedded in your mind, how are you going to renew your mind and be a transformed believer? Do ponder on the above statement!

Dearly beloved friends,we need to read the Scripture everyday and not only on a Sunday. Most of us are Sunday Believers and Seasonal Believers. We need to read and meditate the word of God daily to fight temptations that come from the world. We are to live a life that is Spirit-led. Let the written word of God fill your memory, rule your heart and guide your feet. We are all prone to the temptations of the world around us. If the Son of God, Jesus Christ can be tempted in the wilderness who are we not to be tempted by Satan? Remember that Jesus himself use the written word of God to rebuke Satan. The devil knows how well we know the Holy Scriptures! That is why at times, we say that we are confused. We should not be people who are confused because of the written word of God. In the book of Psalm 119:98-100 as it is written, “Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

Dearly beloved friends, if you have not renewed your mind with the written word of God, it is never too late my friends. We need to be really transformed people in Christ Jesus. Never leave a day without meditating on the word of God.It is a protection to you. His word will heal you from what you are suffering from. God’s word will give you wisdom in everything that you do. God’s written word itself on the whole will transform you fully. Let us all be a TRANSFORM Believer rather than a Born believer! Have a Blessed and a meaningful Season of Lent 2012.

God Bless
