Greetings I bring to you my friends in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ Our Redeemer. Dear friends, as we go into today’s topic that is entitled “God Is Love” and Are We Carrying The Love Of God In Our Hearts Today? Love is such a beautiful word. Many people out there around the globe and even in our surroundings are looking for Love. Please do read on the rest of the article and be blessed my friends.
Dearly beloved friends, the topic of Love in fact has a vast understanding. Christianity is all about Love, Forgiveness and Caring. The word Love itself carries a very deep meaning. To us believers, when we say Love, it is God. “God is Love and Love is God.” As it is written in the gospel of St John 3:16 as it is written, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life.” This is the Love of God for the children of God who believes in him. Friends, if we are the children of God the Father, are we not also suppose to have that Love within us?
Dear friends, there are many of us out there around the globe that are just believers for name sake. Many of us who are believers out there are indeed just believers for our own selves. We being the children of God, are not really carrying the Love of God in our hearts in this present day world. We have become so self centered that we have really forgotten of those people around us and also to the suffering world out there. When we take a good look at the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was mostly among those who were cast away from the society, the brokenhearted, the prisoners, the blind and the deaf, the sick and the suffering and those who are downcast in their spirit. Jesus was with the tax collectors and the prostitutes. Friends, being believers of Jesus Christ today, which circle of people are we seen today in this present world? Are we among the people that are rejected from the society, the poor, the sick and suffering or are we with those people who are doing well in life and do not care a least to the suffering world out there?
Dearly beloved friends, if we are the children of God the Father, then we are to be like him. We are to carry God’s Love in our hearts to those who are really in need of them. Friends, money is not everything that people want. Money is a secondary thing. What people need at present is the Love of God. The Love of God that will comfort and heal them in body, mind, soul and spirit.People need us to be good listeners. We must be able to give them our shoulder to cry on. We are to heal the brokenhearted and free those who are in captives. We are to release the prisoners from the darkness of this dark, dark world. Many people are under the bondage of the evil one. What are we doing about it, people of God? Remember that we are not and never “Touch and Go Christians.” We are believers to bring the Love of God to all who truly need it, my friends.
Dear friends, today make it a point to sit and think for yourself, in which circle of group of people are you in today? Are we making time to go out of the church to bring the Love of God to those who need it? Do not be Christians whose duty is only to be in church for every Sunday service. Do not be confined in the church only. Get out of the church and you will see through your eyes the “suffering world of people,” who are longing for the Love of God to touch them. Are we not the vessels of God to go forth to this kind of a people? The suffering society needs us. Those who have been cast away from their family needs us. The sick and the suffering needs us. The poor needs us. If we are the children of God, as we claim ourselves to be, then my friends, you should know in which circle of people we are to be in today?
Dearly beloved friends, as the prophet Isaiah claimed in Isaiah 61:1-3, as it is written, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” Yes, friends, this is the call for us all believers Today. Proclaim the call of the Prophet Isaiah upon your lives today and make a difference in the lives of other people by bringing the Love of God unto them. Be Blessed and Stay Blessed always my friends.
